Black Witch's 2010 ~ A meaningful year...

When was that last time i write about anything?? Oh well, pretty long ago... was too lazy to blog and stuff.. there is SOOooo much i wanted to write about..... Anyway back to the reason for writing today... 2010 coming to an end in 3 days time and this is the year i must say that is the most unforgettable and probably one of the most memorable year for myself... at least up to now it is..

Jan 2010 ~ Went on the 1st Trip with a few close cousins to Cambodia, the Country is pretty boring but when you're with the right companies, everything just seems to fall in place and the trip was totally fun and we all had a great time that we already talking about our 2nd trip in 2011.. looking forward to it already...
March to May 2010 ~ Fulfill my dream of studying oversea (Korea to be exact) and Spend 3 full months in Korea, had many experience that i totally Loved and Hated (of course) nothing is perfect but still the trip bring me many many wonderful memories that i wish i could turn back the clock!! I must honestly admit that if not for the fact that i have to come back to plan for my ROM in Nov 2010... i will not just stay for 3 months Only... But then again... i should not complain further because i'm blessed with understanding parents and a bf (at that time) who allow me to do anything i want.... he always say to me "As long as you're happy" !! Sweet ~~ but also make me feel so guilty about being so selfish at times....
* a picture of my room when i'm in Korea..

and of course i got "work" done to my eyes too....it had been my dreams since like long long ago even before i get to know about anything related to Korea that i wanted bigger eyes... i totally hated my small, ugly looking eyes... even though i have heard many times that i look "cute" with those eyes... 'Cute" is just not the word for me... Me = Not Cute and Cute does not = Me.. I got double eyelids done and after a few month of recovering, i'm glad that i'm getting all the positive feedback from my friends.. everyone say it look natural.. *Smiles*!! But of course not these Super Huge "Powerpuff Girls" looking eyes... Mine is just slightly bigger than what i'm born with and i keep telling the doctor that i wanted something natural and i still want to look like part of my family who all got the small eyes thingy... *Pouts*.. and ya i still look like my family but prettier than before... Not that i'm pretty now LAH... Just better than before. To put it the negative way, i still look ugly but not as ugly as before loh... got it? Haiz... later people will think i say "I'm pretty"... so better state clearly hoh....

June 2010 ~ Oh well, this is another reason for telling myself to come back after only 3 months in Korea.. my cousin's wedding.. One wedding that i do not want to miss.. Elijah ( my cousin) is my 8th aunt's Elder son, my mum is 7th.. Yay i got BIG family!!! Elijah went to UK to study for his degree a few years back and he maintain his relationship with Rowena for a strong 4 years before the 2 of them finally decide to wed this year... and both of them will be permanently in UK, (Elijah is working for P&G UK).. how nice.... So who say long distance relationship don't work? Learn from this couple... Back just in time to help out on some last min things for the wedding.. meet up with cousins... and Jit is back from Australia as well just to attend Elijah's wedding.. It's been like sooo many years since we all gather together like this and we don't know when will be the next? (My wedding? i hope)... Of well there is always small little hip cups here and there but all went well and it was a beautiful wedding... =) I'm happy for the 2 of them...
The beautiful and blissful couple ~~~

July 2010 ~ I manage to secure a job/new position back in my previous company and started working to pay off my upcoming CC bill.... Credit Cards are really scary things.. but they are part of my life now.. without them i might just die of hunger... LOL... Have a great time celebrating my b'day with my close friends and family.....

and from July till Nov ~ It's more about preparing for ROM.. getting the invitations, getting the gown done, finalizing the flowers and food and final guest list. It's a pretty small party with only about less than 50 guests and i feel bad about not being able to invite many friends but then i still got a wedding in 2011.. so i really hope they understand...

29 Nov 2010 ~ This day too, a VERY important day.. maybe i should write more on it... another separate blog to remind myself.. it still feel like yesterday that i had just happened... everything is still Chrystal-clear...And yay i lawfully became "Mrs. Lim"... and many friends keep teasing me about it (*SHY*)... but i'm still a 'Ms", right? Although i can't use "Miss" anymore... i'm still a blessed woman....=)

03 Dec 2010 ~ I've been in love with another man for sometimes already.... Hahaha... don't get mistaken, he's just an Idol and a dream that will never come true about becoming my bf/husband.... LOL... he is none other but SS501's Leader Kim Hyun Joong... and yes he's here in Singapore to promote for TFS ( The Face Shop)... and i'm so blessed and soo grateful to a friend of mine... who got me a media pass.... it allows me to get SO close to leader... we're only like an arm length away for a split second.... although i did not get any sign poster, i never get to talk to him but i'm totally contended being able to see him at such close distance, snaps many photos of him.. see him smile... i'm really a happy woman....

04 Dec 2010 ~ Went for a Korean concert (Mnet Singapore)... manage to get a good place (standing) and see a few of my fav artist.... and Yes, i'm sooo lucky,,, they all came over to the area where i and my friends are standing... :) It's another long story...

2010 is very much about satisfying my own greediness on my Korean Craze stuff.. other than my ROM n Cousin's wedding... everything else just seems to evolve around K-Pop, Me,Myself and I... It's time for me to sit down before the New Year 2011 come... start thinking for people close to me ~ Family, Close Friends and my now Hubby!!! And to save n plan for our Traditional wedding next year..

That's all for today....Feel good writing/typing @ times.... =)

Black Witch - After missing for such a long time

Well.. my last post was in EARLY Feb.. which is more than 4 months ago.. Gosh.. And i had wanted to write about my life in Korea (was there from 01 March to 30 May 2010).. not even a single entry was done..

I don't have the slightest idea what exactly made me so busy that i can't even produce an entry.. So the conclusion is " Lazy" + "I'm not good in this writing/typing".. Not like couple of my friends who are really great at handling blogs and not to mention forum at the same time... ENVY*** (X1000)..

Was asking Miyo today.. is it okie to "backdate" my blog entries... What i mean was "Is it weird" to do so?? Well then ... she said did it as well... (^_^).. kekekekeke... i think/thought/consider.. i might be writing about my life in Korea after all..based on my "photo" journal stored in my Facebook.. but not today... It's almost 3am in the morning... Can't sleep because my hair is still wet (i just bathed). So i thought i can just pop over and write something for a start after such a long time.

Went to meet up with a couple of girls+ladies tonight to watch soccer (Korea VS Argentina), the world-cup fever is all over the world now. I'm not really a soccer person but had wanted to meet up with friends after a long time of "MIA"(missing in action). Met up with Miyo @ Raffles MRT 7pm, both of us was late by that little 15mins.. so not too bad... we arrive @ Manna Korean Restaurant just in time for the match.. I must say the turnout tonight is impressive... all the girls/ladies are in RED (they are supporting Korea team).. WOW.. okie.. me and Miyo are probably the odd one out.. both of us are in white top, mine with blue strips .. and i swear that i have no idea that Argentina team uniform is white + blue..

Nevertheless... both of us were happily seated and ordered our food in no time.. we're both hungry.. and our main motive there.. to Meet the pretty girls/ladies and Eat.. not so much for the game.. i must say the 비빔냉명 (Cold Noodle) was pretty nice.. and we ordered a 된장찌재 (soybean stew).. what i will say for this dish is "so-so" (average).. i prefer a more salty version that i had in Korea..

Everyone in the restaurant was cheering and singing (for Korea Team of course) throughout the game and the atmosphere was really "interesting"... My vocabulary is limited and i just can't find a better word to describe it..

It was pretty sad that the result ended in 4-1 (Argentina vs Korea)..I wasn't looking around at faces but i could feel a HUGE disappointment in the atmosphere.. the "air" in the restaurant is almost choking me (with this whole disappointed feeling)... Of course with Korea losing.. there is no celebration, about 80% of the customers left, right after the game ended., leaving the restaurant quiet and of course a slight mess.. 360 degree change from just an hour ago...

After the dinner (Kadd paid for the dinner tonight).. 고마다.... really grateful... We head down to Tom and Toms Cafe @ Tanjong Pagar.. and was there chit chatting with till like 2am before we took taxi home...

Okie.. Great my hair is dry and i manage to write a not-so-detail of what happen to my evening today... Time to Zzzzz....

**Thanks to BB unnie for the photo... (^_^)

Black Witch - Day 3,Placement Test

I was totally not prepared for the test today but nevertheless, is unavoidable. Woke up in the morning to our breakfast...

Head off to school.. was glad that we went yesterday to find out the place.. otherwise we will definitely not able to find our way..

Was place in a classroom for our written test follow by oral.... and i really hate to write composition... So i decided to leave it blank... OOps... I know i did not did well for the paper...

Followed by oral test by 1 of the teacher, although i was able to answer most of the question asked by her (because it was all the basic questions). "Where are you from", "What did you do before coming to Korea", "Why did you learn Korean" etc..

Then she told me that i'm being placed in Level 2... and i was like "HUH"???? Only level 2.. OMG.... i was expecting to be in at least Level 3...so disappointing...AND the worse part of being in Level 2, it is the afternoon class... GOSH.. Nooooo!!!!!

I try asking the teach if i could be placed in Level 3... She was telling me that i might have problem handling level 3 and blah blah blah... so i gave up and resign to the result...

Head home after the test and Kim Lian was not feeling too well.. Effect of her biopsy still affecting her badly.. So i went out to buy lunch... It was drizzling today and the weather is SUPER cold.... a 10min walk was enough to burn plenty of fats in my body..... I take it as a good exercise... kekeke

Omelettte Rice(오믈렛 라이스)(Top) and Cuttlefish Rice (오징어 덮밥)(Bottom) and also Seaweed Rice roll(김밥), something like Japanese Sushi but a much bigger version)

After lunch, i went to take a nap.. enjoying the cold weather..kekeke.. Feeling so blessed about the fact that i do not need any air-condition to feel cool..

When i woke up.. it was time for dinner... oops... i must have sleep for a long time... 이머(auntie) have prepared dinner.. simple meal with all the side dishes of home-made kim chi and some other preserved vegetables and also

Soya Soup(된장국)-- i hope i got the name correct..

After dinner, we sat in the living room watching some Korean drama.. i can't remember the name of the drama.. and then 이머 asked we wanted some Cuttlefish(오징어)... i have no idea what she was talking about, before me or KL could answer, she head off to the kitchen and so i tag along hoping to capture a photo or 2..

There she took out from the cupboard a piece of dried cuttlefish, she on the stove and was "cooking" or should i say "heating up" the Cuttlefish over the fire...

I'm surprised that the cuttlefish is so yummy... a bit hard to chew.. but i guess that it the whole point of eating it... chewing.. "Training" my teeth... Just when we start chewing our cuttlefish... 어머님 is back from meeting her friend and she bring back a pack of Traditional Korean Dessert with red bean filling (밤형과자)...

After the "feasting".. time to wash up... KL and i was discussing what will our itinerary for the next few days to come...

Black Witch - Day 2,Meeting Mr and Mrs Park

Woke up this morning and 이머(Kate's auntie) had breakfast prepared for us. I must say this is really a very healthy meal...

We went out after meal trying to figure our way to our school as we will be having our placement test tomorrow... we took a train to Cheongyangni station thinking that we could walk from the station to the school, asked around in our super broken Korean where is National University of Seoul but people told us that the school is quite a walking distance and suggest that we take a bus/taxi... we're not familiar with the bus system in Korean so we decided to take a taxi and the school was really a distance away.. if we were to walk.. probably take us like 30min or so.. I'm glad we took a cab..

After asking around the school and a few students, we manage to found our way to the Language Course's building. It is not exactly a building of its own, the language course only occupied the 2nd floor and the rest are for the engineering students of the University.I'm so glad that the staff working in the office speaks English.. we asked if we need to bring anything for the placement and asked about the time etc.. after getting the information we required.. we went for lunch.. Hungry.... and we each got a free mini bottle of "Yacult" ( It taste exactly like Yacult) from the nice restaurant owner.

김치 라면...Kim Chi Noodle

After lunch, we decided to go home and take a rest.. the weather is really cold... but I'm still enjoying it very much... :).. Before we know it.. it was late afternoon... Got to get ready to go out....

Mrs. Park have came all the way from Busan to meet us ( or rather to meet Kim Lian) for dinner. It takes about 3 hours to travel from Busan to Seoul via KTX train. And they came all the back just to have dinner with Kim Lian.. I'm really amazed by their friendship.

My 1st meeting with Mrs Park and her youngest sister, i'm really sorry that i can't remember what is her sister's name and i know is she is probably around my age and she just got married a few months ago.. Very friendly and sweet looking lady..

My impressed of Mrs.Park.... wow she is really a pretty mum... and to think that she have a 22 years old son .. she is in really good shape... ENVY!!!!

We meet them at Seoul Station where they took the KTX train here and went to an expensive looking Korean restaurant for dinner. ** Mr.Park foot the bill, I'm not sure how much was the dinner but i know it is not cheap...

Dinner end early... and Mr. & Mrs.Park and Sister's train ride back to Busan is still an hour away.. there is not much shopping at Seoul Station, so we decided to go to a cafe for some coffee and Mr.Park insisted on buying sliced cakes despite the fact that we are all stuffed from the delicious dinner.

Some photo we took in the cafe... (^_^)

I guess all good time passed fast and it is time to bid goodbye.. we promise to visit them in Busan when we have time...

Black Witch - The start of the journey

Had been talking about going to Seoul to study (even if it is for a short period) for sometimes already. But i don't have the courage to do so... Until good friends around me told me that "It is now or never"... "Just Do It".. sound like an advertisement for Nike... So plans was made, $$ paid and registration done.. The day finally arrived for me to set off towards this journey that i know i will never regret.. (^^)

Feeling way too excited when i board the plane to Seoul.. Kim Lian (my Korean Language course classmate) and i boarded -01 March 2010, SQ0602, 11.50pm.. the start of our 3 month life there... Had planned to sleep on board so that we would not feel too tired when we reached Seoul.. but i was just too excited to do so... it was 4am in the morning when breakfast is served.. after eating.. Worse.. i felt totally awake.. so i end up watching like 3 movie.. Kim Lian wake up and feel asleep many times..Did not sleep well either!! Then again... who can sleep well in a plane, right???

Finally after 6 hours of flight.. we arrived in Seoul ,02 March 2010,7.06am (Seoul time), Singapore time should be 6.06am.. (1 hour difference).. Totally in love with the COLD weather...

i REALLY tried hard not too bring too much .. but still 30kg.. :(.. the pink polka dot and red luggage is mine..

We collected our luggage and was sitting at the corner, somewhere in Incheon airport waiting for Mr.Park (Kim Lian's Korean friend from Busan who helped us a lot in arranging our trip).. Thankful.. this is my first meeting with him...

Mr.Park is coming all the way from Busan to Seoul to welcome us and to show us to the apartment which he had found for us and also at the same time attend to his work, apparently he work in the aviation field which required him to fly around Korean pretty often..

We took a bus from Incheon and stop somewhere around Cheongyangni station (청량리) and took a cab to where we are going to stay.. an apartment nearby Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (외대얖).. We arrived at the apartment and the owner came and greeted us.. a friendly and pretty looking Korean lady.. her name is Kate or 영경. We were introduced to her mum.. ** sorry but for Korean culture we do not asked for the name of a much older person so i only address her by 어머님 (a respective way of calling someone's mother).. Unlike us,Singaporean, who address everyone as Auntie... and also we meet Kate's auntie and i addressed her as 이머...

The apartment that we are going to stay...

After a short while Mr.Park have to leave for work. We too was hungry by then, so we went out to a nearby place to have our lunch.. Our very 1st meal in Seoul.. Yummy.. and i must say that the side dishes (반찬) served was really nice ..I only paid 4,000won (estimate SGD$5) for my Dumpling Soup (만두국)..

After the hearty lunch,we came home to "settled down",unpacked our stuff and to make our self feel home, we each got our own room.. How nice.. kekekeke i can't complained much about my room.. was small but cosy and best of all.. Totally Korean style.. we get to sleep in Ondol (온돌).. ***(Today’s Korean heating system, Ondol, uses a system of pipes that transport hot water underneath each room in a house. Most Korean families prefer this kind of heating system because the warmth generated upwards from below the floor not only heats every room during cold winters, but also symbolizes the coziness and camaraderie within the family. A Korean home lacking ondol means the warmth is missing in that family. .

Some picture of my room..

Living room..

Kitchen..

Before we know it.. it was time for dinner again.. But Kim Lian told me that Mr.Park is meeting us for supper, so we better not eat too much.. so we went out and had a simple dinner..

Korean Rice Cake(떡붂이) & Cuttlefish Rice(오징어 덮밥) & of course the side dishes

The supper is really nice but a sinful affair....BBQ meat (부추 삼겹살) & raspberry wine

After a hearty supper... time to head home for a nice shower... ZZZzzzz

Black Witch 's Skin Issue..

Counting down 20 days to my 3 months Korea trip……………

I have always have got problems with my Skin...Well.. not exactly the Acne and pimples problem, but I have got really dry skin.

Singapore is considered a very humid country, so we have heard lots of stories from people complaining about their oily skin due to the weather in Singapore.

But dry skin? Not as common …. My skin at certain time of the year starts to peel.. Ya.. like the snake who changes skin every now and then. From my face to hand and legs… For snake the process is called ecdysis (or in normal usage, moulting or sloughing).

Might be a good thing for the snake but not for me… skin starts to get kind of itchy and really TIGHT feeling on my face… So when I smile or laugh, it felt like my face can crack anytime.. sounds bad right… so much for a non-oily and pimple free skin…

I need to attend to my skin regularly.. apart from going for facial once every 2-3 months.. I have got LOTS of masks at home to use… Mainly bought from Korea.. I really love Korean products, really good… would highly recommend all my friends to buy Laneige (my favorite) if they are going to Korea. Skin Food/ Faceshop/ Tony Moly/ Innisfree/ Hanskin etc…. Just too many brands to name… The Laneige Water Sleeping Pack is excellent and it cost much cheaper in Korean than in Singapore… I think it is about time I buy from Korea back to S’pore to sell….. I’m also using the Hydra Solution cream for coming 2 years already… Never looked back…. It is affordable and great to use for my sad skin…..

As for my hand and legs… Nivea have been my “good friend” for years already….. bcos it is relatively cheap and good to use…. I need a lot of cream every day after shower.. so I cannot afford to buy really expensive cream…..

Talking about bad skin….. I think it is time for me to put some mask tonight…..

Hoping that the weather in Seoul during March is not as cold as last year… otherwise I’m going to have problem with my skin Again……

Looking forward to my Trip………

Black Witch - Oh Joon Sung’s Drama Concert 01 Feb 2010

I’m always late in blogging…bcos I do so when I feel like doing so..Even if it means that i was a few day late… (^^)

Went to Oh Joon Sung’s Drama Concert at the Esplanade Concert on 01 Feb 2010. With my Korean Vegetable Farm Family… (^^) ~ But GC is missing this round, so Jo’s sister came instead..A nice way to start a new month…

I’m not in the mood today to drill into details..More of my thought and feel about the concert.

My first time watching concert at Esplanade, the hall is NOT as grand as I thought it would be. But nice and decent enough to enjoy the concert.

MR. Oh Joon Sung really look like a plumber version of JYP… kekeke… I think he looks really cute.

A very talented individual who play the keyboard very very well… Impressive.. and to think that all those songs are composed by him… I was “WOW” even more.. (^^) Salute to this man who contribute so much to all the nice OST…

He’s not able to speak much English, so throughout the 2 hours performance, the most repeated lines that he did was “I Love Singapore” and “I Love Singaporean” and “Thank You”.. which draws loud applause and laughter among all the audience..

I’m Sooooo impressive by this 1 particular 아저씨 (ajunssi) meaning Uncle.. His name is Lee Jung Chic.. He is the ONLY one dressed in White shirt and RED jeans/pants when the rest of the band are all in black.. He is very talented, he play the Flute, Saxophone and another instrument.. kind of trumpet look alike, but slight smaller.. Dunno what is the name of that instrument… And he play so well …. Gosh, he is always smiling and at 1 point, he took out his iphone and shone the light, waving his hand when he is not playing any instrument… Hahaha… he look really funny…

At the end of the concert, Lizzie and myself label him as “Our Idol”.. hahaha

The ONLY downturn of this performance is due to some of Shinee’s fans… I understand many of the audience are made up of Shinee’s fans.. and the fact that they SCREAM & SCREAM & SCREAM during Shinee’s performance, totally put me off. Did they even listen to the 2 songs that the boys have preformed????? They were trying hard to perform and sing.. but it seems like the fans do not know how to respect this fact.. They even took out their cameras and hand phone to snap and snap and snap the photos all the way… The WORST part about the some of the fans was the fact they just stood up and walk OUT of the concert hall after Shinee’s performance. The concert is still going on, Mr. Oh Joon Sung still have more performance… HOW could these rude and ignorant people just walk out?? I’m totally embarrassed by this act of Singaporeans.. After so many years of studying and teaching from parents and teachers… they don’t understand the work “RESPECT”… Disappointing…

Nevertheless… Mr. Oh Joon Sung finished his concert with smile and still win the applause from all the others who stayed.

Time to stop… otherwise I’ll keep on blabbering on and on and on……..

Black Witch 's - Auspicious date

My HTB and myself is not really “Pang Tan” people.. that is why I insisted that my mum NOT to“calculate” our wedding date. Instead I just ask her to pick a date that she herself prefer (For Chinese it is always with an 8 or 18 or 28 etc)…

Was surfing the internet this morning… when I came across this article..

Although I have said that I’m not pang tan… but it still feel kind of good to know that my HTB and myself have got ourselves an auspicious date for our ROM.. 29 Nov 2010 (Monday).. which happen to be 1 of my best GF’s birthday also.. :)

Black Witch 's Very First....

Had never expect myself to ever start writing a blog…

Bcos I’m kind of “living in my own world” kind of people….

Just suddenly feel that maybe finding a place to pen down my thoughts and to share whatever I want…Might be something good.. might be something bad… But I don’t think it really matters…

As long as I am Happy…

Just 5 mins ago, I was asking my younger brother.. “how do I start writing??” And of course he gave me the “Are you an idiot” kind of look..

Yes, by RIGHT people my age should be pretty well-versed and know much about blogs and face book etc. But sorry to say that I’m one of those, many would called “Ice Aged People”.. (=_=”)

Yes.. I still hate internet banking, applied for it but never used it before. Don’t trust transfer of fund and prefer to hand cash to my friends and etc… (My girl-friends hated me for this) LOL

Sounds stupid?? I don’t care….

Whatever it is, I still enjoy whatever I’m doing now..hahahaha... I’ll only do things when I feel like it.. (Like writing a blog NOW) (O_o)

I hate it when people pushes me around or even tried to order me around like their servant…Given my character (I’m well-known for my bad tempered)… Please don’t try..

Chances are, you will end up hating me for who I am…

I always say this to everyone around me and will keep saying it till the day I die… “I am ONLY nice to people who are nice to me”…

As for the rest of those who think they are greater than other people and don’t understand what the word “Respect” mean… Only 3 words for them…. “Go TO HELL”…

By nature a very straight forward person, say whatever I want. But over the years as I grow older, I learn to be more tactful.. well.. at LEAST I tried to be as tactful as possible… but much more room for improvement.

I LOVE my family and my HTB (^^) !!! and of course… I’m blesses with a handful of good friends…. Some from school days, some from workplace…Getting a bit lazy now… time to stop…..

When is the next entry?? Maybe tmr… who knows……………………

Black Witch!!
